7 Day Juice Fast Day 1

Man, man, man. What the hell did I just get myself into? Its definitely going to be harder that I thought. I hope everyone is right when they say, “Everything is hard the first day.”

I slept in today so I didn’t wake up until 11:51 my time. And yes, to me, that is called sleeping in. So I knew right off the bat that I was going to be behind schedule. I dragged myself to my kitchen and started my challenge. Little did I know it was going to be quite a day.

I started the day with what is called the “Morning Glory.” Let me be the one to break it to you; there is nothing glorifying about it after the first taste.

Morning Glory Juice

It has a spicy taste to it, but that’s the ginger. I thought it tasted great, but after the first taste, my mouth got all weird. I can definitely say, I am not a ginger fan.

Hey, let me not discourage you, try it for yourself. But don’t let the image fool you, I had to pour it into a big jug and nicely pour what could fit into this beer glass (which is GIANT). Oh and I still had a ton left, so I was drinking that while posting the previous post. So if you happen to do this Fast, you can always drink the left over throughout the day.

Anyway, this is what you’ll need for the Morning Glory: 2 Apples, 1 Cucumber, 1 cup of Blueberries, 2 cups of Grapes, 2 Kale Leaves (which I substituted it with spinach), and finally 1 inch of Ginger. Put it in a juicer and bam!, Morning Glory. It’s all yours. & I mean alllll yours. Oh and TIP! Do nottt put everything in the juicer at the same time. I put the driest things with the juicy things to balance it. For example; the ginger with the blueberries, spinach with cucumber and grapes and apples.

That was only breakfast. 😮

Lets just say, its going to be a long 7 days…

Intro to the 7 Day Juice Fast

Fresh Vegetables, Fruits and other foodstuffs.

You can only drink juices for the next 7 days. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner have to be juices. How wicked is that? My family thinks I’m crazy, but then again, they always think that. Anyway, I’ll be blogging about my progress and experience and whatnot. This shall be interesting.

I’m not doing it alone, though. Its always great to have someone do the challenge with you. My great friend Nataly and I are doing it together, and boy, its gonna be a hell of a challenge. If only you guys could see how we owned Wal-Mart last night while grocery shopping. Our carts everywhere and filled with so many fruits and veggies. I know people thought we were crazy.

For many of the people that I told about this, found it to be very unhealthy. However, N and I did our research. There’s a juice fast out there that makes you lose 7 lbs in 7 days. Although that does sound unhealthy, its not. One has to be very disciplined -health wise- to be able to do this. You cannot take advantage of the fast because it can and may lead up to health conflicts. One has to keep themselves very hydrated, and cannot skip on water just because they’re drinking the whole day. Water is still very important, which the juices do not contain. So if you happen to do this, please still drink water.

One also has to work out. Maybe not intensely, but still maintain themselves very active. I’ll post my daily routine right after this, for today was Day 1 for me on the Juice Fast.

I’ll keep you guys posted. I’ll attach photos for you to savor. Meanwhile, I have make myself over to my kitchen to make my next meal. Or should I say to ‘juice’ my next meal.
